Martin Heigan's Nature Photography
Aloe ferox habitat shot in Calitzdorp, Western Cape, South Africa, September
2006. This photo was taken after flowering, and the bright orange seed pods are
now visible.
Huernia hystrix (Stapeliad succulent Desert flower) as found in its natural habitat in South Africa. I didn't want to mess with nature, and photographed the flower just as I found it. Believe it or not, but this spectacular little flower was very easy to overlook completely (due its size and the height of the vegetation around it).
Euphorbia fields (as found growing in nature, South Africa).
A very tiny Crassula succulent and Moss growing on a rock in nature.
Aloes - Winter - July 2006 - South Africa.
Euphorbia obesa (female plant) succulent flowering (Winter, 15 July 2006, South Africa). |
