  Aloe polyphylla 

 Origin:  South Africa, Lesotho.


A very photogenic species by its disposition in spiral.

 Plant Description:  Leaves of about 30 cm in length more or less edged by one embroider yellow, forming 75-150 rosettes leaves that are developed in spiral and of about 40 cm of diameter. Rare times it branches and usually does not exceed the 60 cm of height.

 

Flowers:  They are born in clusters from a heavy graft inflorescence of about 60 cm of height. The flowers are of pink color with reddish tones.


They use to bloom in Spring time.

 Growth:  Slow.

 

 Culture:  Ph 6.  Full sun for a good formation of its decorative leaves. Abundant irrigation at summer time and more generous than with other aloes. In origin the plant vegetates at 2,000 m of height and receives abundant rain precipitations.

 It does not resist the frosts and the plant is damaged. It develops an ample root and the best results occur in the heat of cultivating it on the ground. It is a species protected in danger of extinction.

 Phytosanitary Cares:  It is a plant very delicate and prone to diseases. It does not turn out simple to arrive to have established plants.
