Origin:  South Africa

Plant Description:  They form groups of very characteristic stems with an intense green color and that emit conical foliation completions that resemble spines. About 30 cm of height.

Flowers:  Of 6 cm of diameter. With starfish form red and speckled of yellow color. The center of the flower of dark mulberry or red color.

Growth:  Slow.

Culture:  Ph 6.  Controlled irrigations all the year and occasional in winter. It supports bad the prolonged drought. Better in shade but in an illuminated affluent zone. Ground with good drainage and without fertilizing.

Phytosanitary Cares:  Preventive treatments with fungicides. It tends to undergo rotting of neck.
