Origin: Mexico.
Plant Description: It forms a rosette of about 60-90 cm of diameter. It can be solitary or with offsets from the base. Lined, heavy and triangular leaves, that finish in one lasts and dangerous thorn, at the beginning of brilliant and intense black color.
Flowers: Floral tube of 1.80 ms, with flowers of greenish yellow color. It takes between 20 and 30 years in blooming. Like almost all the agaves, it dies after its first and last flowering. Therefore, we are not in a big hurry in observing its blooming.
Growth: Slow. Culture: Ph 6. Full sun. It supports the cold very well and even short snowfalls. Less water than normal for other agaves. Sun exposure to harness the coloration of the leaves. |
