Agavaceae Family

 Agave ocahui

Origin:  Northwest of Mexico and Desert of Sonora.

        

Plant Description:  Already developed it has a spherical shape, forming a solitary compact rosette, with 200 leaves, of 50 cm wide by 50 cm of height. The leaves of dark green color finish in a sting of about 3 cm although he is not very rigid.

Flowers:  Its main attractiveness is its inflorescence, of up to 4.5 ms of height, without ramifications and that produces a dense amount of very attractive yellow flowers.

Growth:  Slow.

Culture:  Ph 6.  Full sun.  Occasional irrigations. It is a plant adapted to the drought and extreme conditions. It supports without problems the frosts but it is delicate facing the excesses of water. It is a solitary plant. It is reproduced by seeds since it does not emit shoots.
