Agavaceae Family

 Agave flexispina

Origin:  Mexico, Chihuahua, Durango.

Plant Description:  Composed of 30 leaves, fleshy and of bluish gray color, that forms a rosette of about 70 cm. The leaves of about 55 cm in length are contouring of thorns and finish in a sting. The thorns have a certain “flexibility” and tend to be given off before a contact. But, be careful, they hurt.


They form attractive groups but it is necessary to consider that they are invasive

Flowers:  Inflorescence of up to 4 ms of height, with flowers of about 12 cm in length and yellow color.

Growth:  Slow.

Culture:  Ph 6.  Full sun.  Generous irrigations in summer. It suffers with low temperatures and it resists bad the frosts, mainly if it concurs with rain or very high humidity.
