With a surface of about 12,000 km ² and located to the southwest of Bolivia, the Salar de Uyuni is the greater salt pan of the world. They say that it contains a great layer of very pure common salt. This salt lake is located in the west of Uyuni at a height of 3,700 ms, and it extends like an enormous flat and white total plain.
