An Exotic Tropical Garden in Danger, Island of Reunion

180,000 People without water, 107,000 homes without electricity, of them 13,500 without telephone, and 2,500 people transferred to refuges. This was the situation Thursday 24 of January of 2002 in the Island of Reunion the day after the passage of the cyclone Dina.

Gusts of wind of 277 km/h in the zone of Maïdo, of 180 km/h on the coast, a swelling of cyclonal tide that arrived at the 8.9 meters of height, 48 hours of hell. The damages in the island are considerable.

The garden has undergone much as you can see in these photos just after the passage of the Dina.
