The H. undatus is original of Colombia (probably) and is very extended by all the planet and is cultivated by its fruits. This cactus has climbing or hanging stems that gets to reach a considerable height on the trees that welcome them.
Normally the branches appear with 3 (2-4) ribs of intense green color and with undulations more or less pronounced.
The main attractiveness of this cactus is their spectacular flowerings that occur when It has already reached certain age.
The flowers are nocturnal, great, of about 25 cm of diameter. They combine the tones of the white to the yellow contrasting with the sepals of green color. |
