Origin: Mexico (Sonora, Bacozari). Plant Description: Cylindrical, of 4 cm of diameter, at first solitary and later branching with the age. Stem of dark green color where the areolas with very small radial spines stand out with white woolly. Their roots are stout, of little more than 0.6 cm.
Growth: Very slow. Flowers: Big flowers to this genus, of up to 4 cm of diameter, color violet-lila.
Culture: Ph 6. Full sun exposition, with drained substratum, with always controlled irrigation and without excesses. Absolute dry rest in winter helps to obtain its splendid flowerings. It resists well the cold in dry.
